Phoenix is alternative education program in East Side Union High School District.

We have 20 students per class
Every student is prepared for an academic or career path
How It Works. . . .
Students will take their junior or senior English, science, math and social studies classes at Phoenix during the day and then participate in our credit recovery program after school hours and on weekends.
Customized Program for Each Student
Every student at Phoenix is assigned a homeroom teacher. This teacher will customize an academic plan specifically for you so that you will graduate on-time. This includes:
Designing an Educational Plan so you can graduate on-time
Providing motivation and guidance for credit recovery
Helps support and tutor
Holds a parent conferences every six weeks
Develop a College and Career Plan
Phoenix is proud of our connection with the community colleges/trade school and will help bridge the gap between high school and college/trade schools. We provide:
Connection to Academic and career paths at the community college level
A-G course work to help you be eligible to attend the California State University system
Financial aid nights
Application workshops
College Tours
Anything is possible at Phoenix High School!
As a Phoenix student you can:
Participate in your homeschool sports, attend their dances, and clubs
You can catch-up on your credits and return to your homeschool for graduation
You can have a work permit, attend SVCTE, Adult Ed, or Community College
You can join our A-G program and upon graduation attend a four-year university
How to join Phoenix
Contact your counselor to fill out a referral. We will contact you with information about our next orientation date where you will learn more about Phoenix High School.
